Village Vladimirovka on the river. Kashlagach is located 20 km northwest of Volnovakha. It was founded in 1840 by immigrants from the Kharkov, Oryol and Kursk provinces. In 1920, in the region of Vladimirovka, units of the Red Army under the command of N. Kuibyshev (brother of V. Kuibyshev) stopped the offensive of the Wrangelites who were trying to break through to Donbass. The Church of St. Michael the Archangel, built in 1913 on the site of a burnt wooden church of the 19th century, has survived.
