Shyshaky

The village of Shishaki on the r. Psel is a regional center 45 km east of Mirgorod. It was first mentioned in 1399. In Cossack times, the town had the status of a centenary and belonged to the Mirgorod regiment. Shishatskaya hydroelectric power station on the river. Psel was built in 1956. In the vicinity of Shishak, 5 burial mounds were investigated, flint items of the Neolithic era, 2 burials of the Bronze Age were found. In the Dernovaya Dolina tract, settlements of the early Slavs of the Chernyakhov culture (II-VI centuries) were found.

Шишаки на річці Псел - селище в 45 км на схід від Миргорода. Вперше згадується в 1399 році. В козацькі часи містечко мало статус сотенного й відносилося до Миргородського полку. Шишацька гідроелектростанція на річці Псел побудована в 1956 році. В околицях Шишак досліджено 5 курганів, знайдені крем'яні вироби епохи неоліту, 2 поховання епохи бронзи. В урочищі Дернова Долина знайдено поселення ранніх слов'ян Черняхівської культури (II-VI ст.).
