Skadovsk

Skadovsk is a resort and port city on the Black Sea, on the shores of the Dzharilgatsky Bay. It was founded as a sea pier in 1894 by the large landowner S. Skadovsky on the site of the fishing settlement Ali-Agok ("quiet pier"). It is now considered one of the best children's resorts. Water and air are saturated with iodine and bromine, there is a wide sandy beach, and there are many health resorts. Recently, several high-quality modern hotels have appeared. Popular boat trips to the reserved island Dzharylgach to the old lighthouse.
