Rusyliv

A small village by the Strip River, 15 km south of Buchach. According to legend, it was founded by refugees from the lands above the Ros river (dews, Russes, Rusyns) during the Polovtsian raids, which is why the name Rusilov is connected. Known from the 16th century. In 1621 a wooden church was built, and in 1934 a stone church of the Most Holy Theotokos was erected nearby. During the Second World War, units of the UPA operated in the vicinity. After the war, for cooperation with the "Bandera" all residents were forcibly resettled to the eastern regions of the country. Some of the residents later returned, the village is gradually being revived. Tourists are attracted by the complex of picturesque Rusilov waterfalls located on the eastern outskirts of the village.

Маленьке село біля річки Стрипа в 15 км на південь від Бучача. За легендою, засноване біженцями з земель над річкою Рось (росами, русами, русинами) в часи половецьких набігів, з чим і пов'язана назва Русилів. Відоме з XVI ст. В 1621 році була збудована дерев'яна церква, а в 1934 році поруч звели кам'яний храм Пресвятої Богородиці. В часи Другої світової війни в околицях діяли загони УПА. Після війни за співпрацю з "бандерівцями" всіх жителів насильно переселили д східних областей країни. Частина жителів згодом повернулася, село поступово відроджується. Туристів приваблює розташований на східній околиці села комплекс мальовничих Русилівських водоспадів.
