The village of Stenka on the banks of the Dniester is located 20 km southwest of Buchach. It has been known since 1453, but the settlement existed in the XII-XIII centuries. (an ancient Russian settlement and an early Christian cave temple were discovered). Since 1797 the wooden church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos functioned, in 1921 a stone church was built, in 1928 the People's House was opened. The greatest tourist interest is the cave temple, which had a cult significance even in pagan times, as evidenced by the mysterious signs on the walls of the cave.
