The village is above the river. Nichlava, 2 km south-west of Borshchev. It has been known since the 17th century, when a defensive castle was built here. In 1672 it was captured by the Turks, and in 1675 the Polish king Jan Sobieski stayed with an army in the castle. The ruins of two castle towers have survived, one of which - a six-tiered sandstone tower - is clearly visible from all sides. There is also an old church and a wooden St. Nicholas Church.
