The village of Senkovka is located in the northern part of the Chernihiv region, almost at the very junction of the borders of Ukraine, Russia and Belarus. It was first mentioned in 1626 as a village on the territory of the Chernigov Voivodeship of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. From 1649 - in the Chernigov regiment of the Hetmanate. In 1975, at the triple border junction of the borders of Ukraine, Russia and Belarus, near Senkovka, the Three Sisters monument was erected. There is an international checkpoint "Senkovka - Veselovka" between Ukraine and Belarus.
